The vision of Odyssey Development began in 1981 with “Dirt and a Dream.” Today, Odyssey employs over 500 people at seven, all-season, premier, Minnesota resorts. The company also maintains a full-service brokerage real estate division and is the developer/builder of multiple restaurants and resorts.

For more than 30 years Robert Ryan, President/Owner of Odyssey Development and Odyssey Resorts, has been involved in the creation of many of the finest vacation home developments and private resident communities in Minnesota.
Ryan founded Odyssey Development, Inc. in 1997 and has grown the company to include several North Shore vacation home and private home properties.
North Shore properties designed, developed and managed by Ryan include Caribou Highlands Lodge (in Lutsen, Minnesota), Grand Superior Lodge, in Castle Danger, Minnesota, Crow Creek Homes near Gooseberry Falls State Park, Larsmont Cottages on Lake Superior, near Two Harbors, Minnesota, Trapper’s Landing Lodge on Leech Lake, in Walker, Minnesota, and, most recently, Breezy Point Cabins on Lake Superior, near Two Harbors, Minnesota.
Prior to founding Odyssey Development, Ryan was a partner and owner in Ryan Development and was instrumental in developing Izaty’s Lodge on Lake Mille Lacs and Sugar Lake Lodge near Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Mr. Ryan is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and lives in Duluth, Minnesota with his wife. Mr. Ryan was a Trustee at the College of St. Scholastica for 9 years and is now Trustee Emeritus.

Mr. Bezawada holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree from the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Bangalore, India. He also earned a Masters degree in Hotel Operations and Management from the IHTTI School of Hotel Management in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
Bezawada has served Odyssey Resorts and Development in various capacities since 2002, and was elevated to Vice President of Development in 2014.
Breezy Point Cabins on Lake Superior, scheduled to open in June, 2016, is Bezawada’s most recent project and indicative of the cross-functional, comprehensive approach to development that Bezawada brings to his work. From conceptualization and business modeling, to finishing detail and operational management, Bezawada’s broad experience and practical expertise results in tangible differentiation for Odyssey, as evident in the Breezy Point project and many others.

As Director of Sales for Odyssey Real Estate Group, Lavonne has lead the growth and development of the company. Having worked up to the position of Assistant General Manager at Caribou Highlands Lodge, the largest Odyssey Resort, she was no stranger to the wishes of vacation home owners. In fact, she herself owns more than one vacation home property, so she knows from personal experience the ins and outs of buying and selling.
Her experience in real estate began in 1999 and includes owning and managing her own company and serving as agent and broker.
Christensen officially joined Odyssey Real Estate Group (OREG) in 2009. She has expanded the sales efforts from vacation properties to include a large portfolio of residential home sales and raw land/lakeshore properties.
